Apply Now for the 2016 SAF Student Diversity Ambassador Program: Deadline is September 2

The Student Diversity Ambassador Program, sponsored by Bureau of Land Management, is a year-long program designed to promote leadership skills and create a community for undergraduate or graduate students. Applications are being accepted until September 2.

The program allows students to attend the 2016 SAF National Convention, to be held in Madison, Wisconsin, at the beginning of November. While at the convention, all Student Diversity Ambassadors will be exposed to a series of activities focused on developing leadership and networking skills

If accepted into the Program, Student Diversity Ambassadors will receive a stipend to help fund the costs need to attend the 2016 SAF National Convention. The stipend will cover the cost of registration, tickets to events, and shared hotel accommodations. Following the convention, each Student Diversity Ambassador will participate in an e-mentoring program throughout 2017. Students will be matched with a mentor who is a natural resource professional. Mentors will be identified based upon the student’s interests and needs.
