SAF Hardship Waiver Request 

We understand that unexpected financial challenges may impact your ability to maintain your membership with the Society of American Foresters (SAF). We value your involvement in the SAF community and are committed to supporting our members through difficult times. Please use this form to request consideration for a hardship waiver of your SAF membership dues for the upcoming membership year.

Important Information:

- You must have held active SAF membership for a minimum of one (1) year to be eligible for a hardship waiver. Affiliate, Student, Retiree, International, Lapsed or expired members are not eligible. - If approved, the hardship waiver will cover one (1) membership year only and cannot be extended or modified. 
- If approved, your membership will be renewed at the beginning of your next membership cycle.
- During the waiver period, you will continue to receive The Forestry Source and Journal of Forestry in digital format only. 
If you are a member of an SAF State Society, you may continue to participate fully. - A hardship waiver may only be granted once (1) within a three (3) year period. 
- You are responsible for keeping your member profile and contact information up to date during the waiver period. SAF will send periodic reminders to ensure your information is current. 
- SAF reserves the right to approve or deny any waiver request at its sole discretion.
