SAF and Partners Help with the US Capitol Christmas Tree’s Journey

The US Capitol Christmas Tree will begin to travel eastward from the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests (GMUG) in Colorado to Washington, DC on November 6. 

“It is truly an exciting opportunity for SAF to partner with the 2020 US Capitol Christmas Tree Journey,” said SAF CEO Terry Baker. “This effort represents a broad spectrum of forestry and natural resource professionals’ dedication to sharing the ‘People’s Tree’ in our nation’s capital.” 

The GMUG National Forests in partnership with nonprofit partner Choose Outdoors and Colorado Tourism will bring this special gift for the 2020 holiday season with special events in 10 communities along the way.
