New York Forester

The New York Forester is published four times a year by the NYSAF. The 16 to 20 page newsletter keeps NYSAF members up-to-date on current issues in the profession and New York.

Description

The NY Forester features regular columns on: NYSAF chapter events, NY forest history, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation forestry issues, NY forest policy issues, and the diversity of the NYSAF membership. It also includes articles from the NYSAF chair and our District VI council member that discuss professional issues. Each issue of the NY Forester also contains our highly acclaimed 4 page “Forestry Foundations” section where New York State forestry experts explore “topics, issues, and opportunities related to forestry” that are designed “to elevate the foundations of our profession though reaffirmation, restoration, rehabilitation and introduction of [scientific] knowledge and experience.”
