From Metropolis to Wilderness:  Foresters Rooted in Conservation

The 2020 SAF Convention will explore how we all play a critical role in fostering local and worldwide economies, vibrant communities, and thriving forests. In our world of shifting land use, changing markets, and external health pressures we all share a common role of responsible forest stewardship. Join us as we delve, discuss, and learn, taking home refreshed perspectives.

Submissions for presentations, science flashes, posters, and professional development seminars are invited for a variety of topic areas from Agroforestry to Wildland Fire Management. In addition, 2020 will feature the following themes:

  • Eastern and Western White Pine
  • Urban and Community Forestry
  • Managing Forests as Watersheds
  • Consulting Forestry: Useful Skills, Knowledge, and Case Studies
  • Wood Procurement from Stump to Mill: An Essential Multi-Skilled Job
