Visit with companies; not-for-profits; universities; and state and federal agencies. Learn about new products, technology, and programs. With almost 100 exhibitor, make sure you schedule enough time to visit booths and meet representatives.

Fellows’ Breakfast

Thursday, October 31 • 6:30 am – 7:30 am - Ticketed Event

SAF Fellows unite for this annual breakfast to recognize the contributions of Fellows and welcome those who have been newly recognized. This breakfast is for Fellows and their spouses/companions only. Those honored as new Fellows in 2019 receive a complimentary ticket.

Poster Symposia

Thursday, October 31 • 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm

This is an excellent opportunity to meet poster authors and discuss their work. The symposium features dozens of posters on a variety of topics, based on both research and case studies.

SAF Town Hall

Thursday, October 31 • 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm

The SAF Town Hall, SAF membership meeting, gives SAF members an opportunity to hear from and engage the SAF leadership in discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing the profession.

Alumni Receptions

Reconnect with fellow alumni and share old, new, and treasured memories. For groups wanting space for an alumni reception, please see our Meeting Request Form.

Meetups

Friday, November 1 • 7:00 am - 8:30 am

Engage with peers and meet new contacts that share your interests in forest and natural resource management. SAF communities of interest and practice include silviculture, urban forestry, forest ecology, forest production and utilization, diversity and inclusion, forest technology, private forestry, philosophy and history history, and many more!

Friday Night Celebration and SAF-ter Party

Friday, November 1 • 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Join friends to honor and celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of colleagues in a festive and entertaining atmosphere. This event will feature a new format, bringing a contemporary twist and some Kentucky Derby flair to liven up the evening. The celebration includes the first-ever SAF-ter Party featuring a local DJ. Light refreshments provided.

Raffle and Silent Auction

Visit the Expo Floor to purchase raffle tickets and bid on silent auction to support the Foresters’ Fund and Kurt Gottschalk Science Fund. All dollars raised will be split 50/50 between the two funds. 

State societies, chapters, and members are encouraged to donate an item for this fun and important event. Items such as artwork, clothing, books, hand-crafted items, specialty foods, gift cards, outdoor equipment and more – anything that will entice a raffle ticket purchase or a bid at the auction -- is welcome. Download this brochure to help with your raffle request efforts.

Contact Raffle and Auction Chair Ed Gee regarding donation plans. Be sure to include an approximate value for a receipt for tax purposes.

While the Foresters’ Fund assists local units in achieving the goals of the Society, the KGSF supports development and dissemination of scientific findings and new technology for natural resource professionals to facilitate science-informed management.
