SAF Advocates for Forestry Programs

March 29, 2019

Fiscal Year 2020 Appropriations season is here. SAF advocates for federal funding to support forest research and development, public land management, and a variety of state and private forestry programs. These priorities were highlighted in SAF CEO Terry Baker’s public witness testimony (starts at 8:14) before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. In the coming weeks, we’ll also be sharing coalition letters supported by a diverse array of partner organizations, which focus on funding for urban and community forests, the Forest Inventory and Analysis program, and more.
