SAF Membership is even better with a friend!

The SAF Member-Get-A-Member Referral Program is a win-win for you and the friends you "bring" along. Every qualifying student or professional you refer that joins SAF brings you a step closer to a reward. Share the opportunities, benefits, and legacy of SAF. 

How the program works:

The referral program runs every year beginning June 1 until May 31 of the following year.

Entering the SAF Referral Competition is simple:
• Simply have your referral enter your name and member Id number during the online join process.
• If you use the online referral entry form below, your referral will automatically receive an email inviting them to join SAF.
• If they use the membership paper application, make sure to have your referral include your name and member id on their application. This is the only way we can track your referrals on the paper application.

The Rewards: 

There will be two categories in which SAF members can refer:

  1. Students
  2. Professionals

 Members with the most referrals that join during the program year will choose between:

Student:

  1. A trip to an in-person Board of Directors meeting held in Washington, DC
  2. iPad

Professional:

     1.  A trip to an in-person Board of Directors meeting held in Washington, DC
     2.  A Landmark Spatial Solutions Archer 4 Data Collector with a Juniper Systems Uinta GPS program 1-year subscription

SAF recognizes and awards referring members for submitting prospect leads. 

The Annual winners will be informed during the first week of June every year.

You must be logged in and select the Referral Entry Form Tab to enter your referrals.
Program rules:

1. You must be a current U.S. SAF member to participate in the program, beginning June 1 of each year and running through May 31 of the next year. This program not eligible outside the United States.
2. Professional members are not eligible to receive awards for recruiting SAF Student members or Graduate Student members.
3. SAF Student members or Graduate Student members are eligible to earn awards under this referral program for recruiting Student members or Graduate Student members.
4. The referee must be a new member or have not been an SAF member for at least two years.
5. Completed referral applications must: 
        a) Be received with full dues payment by May 31st of the current program year.
        b) Include the referrer’s Full Name and Member ID number in the fields on the online join application.
6. Applications received without a recruiter's valid Full Name or Member ID will not be considered for an award; there will be no retroactive qualifying of recruiters. SAF staff will not edit submitted applications. 
7. Overall award: The Top Recruiters are determined by the total number of eligible recruited prospects that join SAF during the program year.  In the event of a tie, the overall award will be decided via a drawing by the current SAF President. 
8. This program not eligible outside the United States. 
9. The Overall Top Recruiters if selecting the in-person Board of Directors meeting must attend during the program year.
10. Refunds or credits will not be granted for failure to redeem awards or for failure to attend an event and will follow SAF’s event cancellation policy.
11. Awards may not be transferred to another current member; the above rules still apply.
12. A top five leaderboard will be listed in the eForester newsletter the second week of each month; SAF staff will not give individual status reports.
