Foresters’ Fund Proposals Due June 15

April 24, 2019

From SAF projects promoting forestry education to enhancing public understanding of forest management to developing local leadership events, Foresters’ Fund dollars are available to support your project.

The next Foresters’ Fund deadline is June 15 for all three grant categories: Regular grants up to $1,500 to state societies, divisions, and chapters; Special grants up to $5,000 to divisions and state societies; and up to $10,000 for Leadership Development grants.

Up to $40,000 is available in Regular and Special grant funding this year. Seven regular grants were approved in February for $9,780, leaving over $30,000 available for the remainder of 2019.

New this year, the focus of the Leadership Development Foresters’ Fund grants is to support the delivery of high-quality programs at the local level. Funding of up to $40,000 per year is available to state societies in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Applications are due just once a year for these grants, so plan ahead; events occurring four months or more after the deadline are eligible for funding.
